It probably still takes less energy to produce than gasoline


after the carbon emission pipelines are installed. I think renewables are a very long game. It takes 20-40 years to replace combustion engine fleet, coal-fired and nuclear power plants, and so on. We can probably see the end of oil by then and Moore's law will change the economics for solar, wind, electric engines, and other technologies.
