Suggestion: daughter contact Purdue Society of Women Engineers....

now to see if there are any opportunities for incoming freshwomen to get involved, even if it's just to listen in on Zoom when companies are sharing information about what they do and what opportunities might be available. maybe there's more opportunity than just that?

Link to Purdue's SWE below.

At a broader level, Purdue advertises that their students conduct more interviews than any campus in the nation... the job fairs in September and October are huge and one of them led to my own daughter getting an internship offer her freshman year before she even had a GPA.

Start working with your daughter on her resume now. I bet even VaTech's career services office would be willing to review it and provide feedback if you asked on her behalf. But so would Purdue's SWE. Or I would (I am heavily involved in college recruiting for my company).

So many open doors in front of her ! Exciting!
