Kelsey Hoffman was a really good catcher.


Believe she was from Florida, and married former Hokie football player (punter) Nick Schmidt. Believe they still live in Salem, Va where Nick is a fire fighter.

At the team hotel after the first day (played a double header that Saturday) of the super regionals the Hoffmans gave Scot Thomas a lot of grief regarding a decision not to have one of his better hitters bunt to advance a runner in a tight game. It wasn’t a pretty display of discourse……..
