It's also imperative for NC State to keep rising, Pitt to get back on track, and hopefully UNC/UVA come back up the ranks. The better the ACC is the better VT's chances are of reaching the pinnacle. It's like the SEC in football, elite kids want to compete against elite kids. The tides have just recently turned that some of the top non big10 schools could even pull kids who got offers from the mid-bottom tier big10 schools. That momentum shift needs to continue.

Lastly, as Dresser's little PR stunt alluded too, we need some big national stage opportunities to show elite recruits that we have arrived. We need to beat an Iowa, Minn, PSU, OSU (preferably not on criteria) head to head and raise some eyebrows and draw some big time attention. We missed out on a huge opportunity due to what coach thinks was some total BS.
