As someone who's seen this issue before, it's actually the ACC's


fault. Any event that wants metro to stay open has to tell them ahead of time and PAY them to do so. The redskins do it regularly. Its on the order of tens of thousands of dollars, which shouldn't be difficult to pony up for the ACC. The ACC either didn't know, or wasn't willin to pay the money for the VT and FSU fans.
