WB talks about Wolff

In addition to warding off potential interest in his men’s basketball coach, Babcock has a decision to make about the future of his women’s coach, Dennis Wolff, who has one year remaining on his contract.
Wolff is 60-92 in five seasons with the Hokies.
His team showed promise this season, winning 13 of its first 14 games and two of its first four ACC contests. But then game a 1-9 stretch that appeared to put Wolff’s job back in jeopardy. The Hokies rebounded to win their final two regular-season games, including completing a season-sweep of in-state rival Virginia.
But they were upset in the first round of the ACC tournament by last-place Boston College.
“When the season is all the way over, Dennis and I will sit down and talk,” Babcock said. “We do that whether a coach has won every game or not won enough or is somewhere in between. Dennis is aware of that. We’ll see how the women’s WNIT bid goes. But at the end of the season, we’ll sit down and talk about it, evaluate it and go from there.”
Tech has put in a bid to host WNIT games if the team is selected Monday night.
