I did a little digging on Union Bank and Trust

I'm from Philly so didn't know much about them. They acquired StellarOne bank recently and it looks like they merged their boards.

Lucky for us that Raymond Smoot and Charles Steger were on those boards and now on the Union Trust board.

I'm sure this made for an easy connection for VT and Blacksburg when the idea emerged to support the baseball stadium expansion. Also makes sense that as they acquire a SW Va bank in Stellar that they support the community.
