If the report is true, then that is great news for VT

It would be nice to see the fanbase have high expectations of both basketball programs.

Looking at the rest of the chatter on JMU's board (clicked on a few other topics too), it looks like JMU might be at a crossroads on what direction it wants the athletic program to go in now that all these changes are occurring in collegiate athletics. Even the fanbase is not sure which is the best direction for their school.
