Say ND joins the ACC for 2019 season


and NBC and ND tear up their contract allowing ND to become a full member of the ACC. The ACC lets them keep their contracted schedules until ND can play a full schedule.

Here is who ND plays that would be available for the ACCNet:
Louisville, New Mexico, UVA, GT, VT, Duke, Navy, BC. New Mexico game could be a candidate, but ESPN would probably put that on ESPN or ESPN2 to "take care" of one of their MWC slots.

One of the reasons why schools schedule inter-sectional games is so that the networks will broadcast the games nationally.

While ESPN would understand that putting a ND game on the ACCNet would create a bump in subscribers for that month, having ND games on ESPN will keep subscribers to ESPN for the year. Plus, ESPN would share the extra money it would make with the ACC for the ACCNet, but they keep the money they will make airing the game on ESPN.

It's always about the money, even when they say it has nothing to do with money.
