Yeah the Dixon angle - seems like the most plausible explanation to me

I mean it makes sense. Now the exact order things happened? Whatever.

Dixon had been offered that job lots of times before, and turned it down every time, and he didn't this time. Those are facts?

So I said surprise, and maybe it wasn't a surprise.

MAYBE they wanted Dixon all along and Buzz ALMOST sold himself on being better than dixon? I really stopped thinking about it because those are all speculations, that's good fun

but I firmly believe based on what I've been told by people close to the situation, ONE OF WHICH is public, rev zeke, I mean lol this is not any kind of SECRET that's the thing - it's not like everyone in the athletic department wasn't aware of what was transpiring during thattime frame. Everything was in limbo for a period there. Many parties were under the impression that it was "done" and just needed to be formalized/announced/etc. .... buzz was leaving, this really happened ... he wanted the TCU job and he wanted the OSU jobs and he didn't get either one. Things changed and/or didn't end up working out. The key here though was the distinction that Buzz was the suitor not the other way around. Maybe that's a matter of opinion, I happen to trust the opinion of those who said such things (who do NOT have an axe to grind by the way and are rather quite fans of buzz) ...

Outside of that sure I'm kind of trying to decide what makes sense, but like I said, the above paragraph is what matters, exactly how it went down, you guys are right nobody will probably know EVERY detail except for buzz himself and maybe his wife. And that's the way it should be. He's a pro. He handled his business and didn't let it hurt the perception of his brand, our brand, etc. etc.

I wouldn't rather have any other coach in the world.
