That's a practical approach but I think it misses the point


I think that if UT were to join, they'd want maximum regional coverage, meaning they would want to play a game in Florida, the northeast, and mid-Atlantic essentially every year. I don't see UT settling for a Florida opponent every third year. Conversely, I think the ACC would want Texas to play a game in the northeast every year just for visibility. I suppose you can alleviate the problem a little by making the pods less regional, but then you tack on more travel time.

20 is difficult no matter how you do it..
