It's football, not band. It big, fast, powerful young men with tendon, ligaments, bones & brains not designed for the collisions they endure. Injuries happen and VT is not unique.

And lots of programs - particularly western programs like USC, BYU, Utah, etc - have had Pacific Asian players and there has never been any overriding injury issue.
