There's such a huge disparity in these Nike contracts -- there's no way that disparity is taken up by extra gear.

I suspect that, instead, the smaller contracts are front-loaded with gear instead of cash, but the majority of these contracts people are talking about are cash-laden. There's just no other way they can be done. UCLA doesn't need $280 million work of gear.
