I understand and don't necessarily disagree with what you are saying


However, take a station like Setenta Sports. It used to be offered in the US until Setenta Sports USA went bankrupt. Fox Sports acquired the programming rights and I believe brought back most of the programming content. I don't believe Fox Sports retained the rights (or is currently broadcasting) some of the lesser popular sports in the US (i.e. Gaelic football, hurling, darts, European billards/pool, etc.) that were broadcasted more by Setenta.

From a content perspective, does a cable/satellite provider ever decide that a particular genre specific network won't make them money in a particular market or that a market is already oversaturated in a particular genre?
