for quite a while, but I think it will move that way. The CFP committee is made up of some conference reps (among others) who will begin to play the "you scratch my back this year I've got you next year" game.

ND does control it's own destiny. If they can string together a couple/three undefeated (or one loss depending on other teams) seasons and go to the CFP before the contract of 2027, then they are "golden". If they are close (1 or 2 losses) and don't go either due to conference champs going or some politics - then it will get old for ND fans. And some of the old school truly hard core indy or nothing fans will be gone by then. A new generation of fans that are used to a partial membership will come along - what' s another ACC game or two if we have a better chance to get into the CFP?

Your previous post about things that were rumored since 1995 shows how much talk there is AND how different things become than EVERYBODY thought they would be. If someone had told you in 1995 that VT and ND would be become at least partial conference-mates in the ACC would you have believed that?

BTW - just secured my ticket to ND game this year - can't wait - always been bucket list item.
