I disagree with a lot of what you stated, we want championships and can .


compete with Michigan , Stanford(Teams who we out recruit or match in recruiting) .

On to the discussion of quasi-independence.Terry we only control 4 games max, with Navy and USC, Stanford yearly opponents. With the 5 games with the ACC and those three mentioned, plus a body bag game that has been appearing more and more, now we are at 3 games we have to play with. Now I not saying we will change but we aren't independent any longer. ACC teams have 3 or 4 games they can schedule as they please also. BYU is independent, we no longer can make that claim without a smirk.


Terry teams have always let kids into other schools that we couldn't touch. But we still competed and thrived. That is just an excuse IMO and it became popular with Bob Davie tenure and fans now except it. If ND wants to win we win, they seem to be showing more dedication then in the past.
