I agree but on what grounds? Are they going to say the

bowls can't make affiliation deals?

I guess they might try some type of anti-trust suit but I don't think the Px will ever say conference champs only unless of course they give everyone an opportunity to play in a P conference.

edit: ND might have a more difficult time making a case than some others. Kind of hard to make a case against conferences banding together when you are in one for most everything and have been offered a slot with no adverse monetary impact whatsoever. And even if you win, they could simply retitle the game.
