Building Tech will be his biggest challenge...


When I went through all the potential hires a few weeks ago, his name popped up but I thought Whit would hire a woman since there aren't many female head coaches at Tech. To my knowledge, only women's golf and tennis have female coaches now. It doesn't bother me personally, but I'm a little surprised. I assume that Whit wanted head coaching experience and didn't want to take a risk on hiring an assistant head coach.

Sung may be the Bill Foster of women's lacrosse. Hopefully he can make us competitive in the tough ACC. I noticed that he recruits Maryland well which is a must. I did like that Megan Burker was recruiting New York state/Long Island. I hope Sung will continue that.

I'll have to read more about Sung to see how his style of coaching and conditioning compares to previous head coaches at Tech.
