Pro golf watch 6/9 - 6/12

FedEx St. Jude Classic this week for the PGA Tour. JW and BDJ both missed the cut last week at the Memorial, falling to 116th and 145th on the FedEx Cup Standings this week. Added incentive with this being the first of three Open Championship qualifiers for the US, 4 spots in the Open up for grabs.

Jurrian van der Vaart is T9 after the first round of his ECT event in Belgium. Still in 24th on the money list after a T45 finish last week.

Mackenzie Tour is at its last of three stops in British Columbia to kick off the season. Vincent and Cone are coming off top 10 finishes last week and Redmond is looking to make his first cut of the year. Vincent's solo 5th last week moved him up to 6th on the money list and he's now 3rd replacement for the Olympics. He has this week and two more Mackenzie Tour stops before the cut off, and he'll probably need a win or a solo 2nd in one of those to get into the Olympic field.

As of this morning, Drew Weaver is still on the alternate list for the Web.com Tour event in Illinois. Looks like he'll miss out on the field this week. Garland Green is back in action on the Swing Thought tour in Snow Hill, NC.

Sectional qualifying for next week's US Open was this Monday, but SV, JW and Joey Lane all came up a bit short.

Go Hokies!
