I don't think WVU would be who ND would suggest become the ACC #16. The ACC is of course going to have a vetted list, and WVU would be on it. I just think options like Navy or Cincinnati might be ahead of WVU, or even another school from Florida or Texas. I'm not sure where UConn would fall since it's fertile ground in Connecticut to recruit students.

I would like WVU for rivalry and geographic proximity reasons. WVU has some drawbacks, but I think the positives out weigh them for what the ACC needs geographically in the Mid-Atlantic. I just don't think they will be a Notre Dame recommendation. I don't think Notre Dame would object, just not recommend. Pitt, VT, and Clemson would have to do that I think.
