Two 'tough' road games UT (5-7), USC (8-6) in 2015


and those bookend the season.

Navy is neutral site but the Irish own that series.

Miami, Michigan State and Stanford are the toughest home games, but they are set up by either a weaker preceding opponent or a bye week.

Imagine getting the P12 and B1G champion at home. If you beat those two and finish 11-1 you'll likely have a very strong playoff argument. It's a compelling schedule but also a winnable schedule.

The Irish could not do that schedule as an ACC member unless the ACC went to extreme measures to accommodate the Irish.
