Larry Scott claims that his way is better.


The PAC12 has total control. They assume all of the risk and cost, and thus they receive all of the reward.

But, the advantage of a major network is leverage with all of the infrastructure that the major network has as well as their industry clout to achieve distribution.

I think that the news of the article is that Larry Scott is full steam ahead with his approach for the PAC12.
