Love that model. It's ALREADY worth $800 million.


Folks on this board fail to appreciate how long it usually takes to get something so innovative up and off of the ground. As best I recall, it's taken every one of these college sports networks a while to make bank, except for the SECNetwork.

Anyhow, the Pac12 is now in position to keep 100% of every additional dollar brought in. They've already paid to produce the content and they don't have to share the income. Awesome deal for them. And they will be able to do as they please in the future as the ways people consume content continues to change.

Goodness sakes, I would LOVE for the ACC to be in their position right now. And there's little reason to doubt an ACCNetwork wouldn't be even more profitable and valuable due to the East Coast versus West Coast settings.
