Yes, but if they are home and home games . . .


. . . they have the potential to lose those games when the ACC teams play away. If they scheduled only SEC teams, then the issue is averted, but if FSU, Clemson or UNC play a school that could go to Fox, than they would not only lose that game, but have to replace it with, potentially a game against an FCS school (or MAC or Sun Belt). Going to nine conference games assures 7 more P5 games every year.

VT is playing their fair share of Big10 schools in the coming years. The ESPN will either lose VT that week or use their higher choices to secure what the games as the other ACC match ups that week are poor.
