Now that everyone knows when the ND games are going to be played,
they can schedule around them. The four schools that have the SEC rival games now know when they have Notre Dame games. If the ACC goes to 9 games, they will need to not schedule another P5 for that last game in the years that they are playing ND and their SEC rival. It's not rocket science. They can use the other years to do home and homes with other SEC if they want.
What Clemson wants is a week to have a throw away game with Wofford the week before playing South Carolina. They want it because South Carolina has it. FSU wants it because Florida has it. If we go to 9 ACC games, then those years that they play ND their schedule is totally full if they continue to have Wofford.
The SEC teams do this. It makes no sense to me for Alabama to play Charleston Southern on Nov. 21 like they did last year or someone like that every year. But they insist on doing it, so Clemson and FSU think they have to do it. This is causing the objection to 9 games in the ACC, and it's causing objection to 9 games in the SEC. Alabama beat Charleston Southern 56-6. How interesting is that?
