I will say the nature of the NBA leads to conspiracy theories

Any time a sport is driven so much by TV ratings and ratings being driven by the length or competiveness of the series there will be questions about the influence of the leagues offices.

The Cavs played well, but it is impossible to ignore the role that officials and league officials played in this series. Anytime you take two top players out of the game at two very critical points in the series it will raise questions.

I will also say that the NBA game is almost impossible to officiate. The top players are insanely talented. Curry, Lebron, Kyrie, and Klay Thompson are almost impossible to defend without fouling on some level. Kyrie's shot to take the lead and Curry's shot from like 30 feet out last night show jut how talented these players are. In a game where a foul can be called on just about every play, the refs are put into the ultimate position of making snap judgment decisions. There are very few Black and White calls, or said differently, if you slow a play down, you could find a foul anywhere.

With such subjectiveness present, if a given team gets 2-3 calls in one direction in can change the entire trajectory of the game, people with form their conspiracies.

All of that said, on balance Lebron and Kyrie out-played Curry, Thompson and Green when it mattered. Games 5, 6 & 7.
