No worries. I do agree with you there would be memorabilia
sales regardless of who won the championship. However, because most Clevelanders will feel that a burden has been lifted off the city, then they are more likely to open up their wallets and buy the oddball/obscure memorabilia that people generally don't buy unless there is some historic significance.
The historic significance may get Clevelanders, who are not necessarily NBA fans, to even buy some memorabilia because they see it as potentially being valuable as a collector's item. However, I am not sure the 73 wins would be enough to entice North Bayers, who are not NBA fans, to buy similar memorabilia. Also, I remember reading an article that talked about memorabilia sales after the Red Sox broke the "curse." The Red Sox/MLB saw a similar spike in sales because some Bostonians, who purchased some of the memorabilia, were not necessarily Red Sox fans. The city of Boston didn't feel the same level of burden as Cleveland because they experienced the Celtics' 3 NBA titles in the 1980s and the Patriots 2 Super Bowl victories.
