If ESPN is taking a "wait in see approach" or trying to get

its ducks in a row before launching the ACCN, then I would think something is in the contract that prevents the ACC from starting the network elsewhere. I would think the annual payment of $45 million is ESPN's way of retaining its rights to the ACC's content. If at any time ESPN doesn't make the payment by the given deadline, then the ACC can shop around or do whatever it wants with its content. Until then the ACC is basically in a holding pattern. Then again maybe I am missing something here.
