This situation is what the "look in" is designed to address.


The ACC has one with ESPN in 2017 and another one in 2022. My understanding is that it is written in the contract that ESPN has to get within a certain percentage of the market leader after the look in year. In this case it will be the B1G. They don't have to match it, but get within a percentage like 10-15%. We'll have to see if they follow through with it.

I'm most interested in the ACC Channel. I hope it happens sooner than that or at least by then. We'll have to see on that as well. There is language in the ACC contract with ESPN regarding the Channel too. That's where that $45 million per year comes in.
