I think you get a similar result going North-South...


It would basically be Old ACC -UVA and Wake Forest plus Miami in the South and Old Big East minus Miami plus Louisville, UVA, and Wake Forest in the North.

The only rivalries that would need protection would be UVA-UNC and Miami-VT. Personally I wouldn't mind losing the annual Miami tilt if it meant we play EVERYBODY in the South division home and away every seven years. Give us 3-4 team pods with rotating divisions and we get it done in four years. Give us a ninth conference game and stable divisions, and we get it done in five years. The point is it's worth it, to me anyway, to get Florida State, Clemson, Louisville, and NC State on our schedule three times as often.
