They wouldn't. They only upgraded to FBS 13 years ago.


The UConn list is New England Centric.

Connecticut (Rhode Island, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Yale)

That region has not been a big college football region historically. I applaud UConn for trying to move up in the world. UMass as well. Maine, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island don't seem to want to try.

The ACC wouldn't be bringing in UConn for football. They would be for greater mind share in New England and student recruiting in Connecticut.
