Maybe he wanted to give the new staff a spring practice to see where he stood. Another guess is that either he didn't like what he saw, or he was told his chances were not good. In either case, he may have decided to start the process of moving. That's why I questioned the coaches effing up above. I would consider it a good thing if they =knew he would not get a chance and did NOT tell him. Maybe they were just being honest with him.
