Something that's always bothered me about ALL Hokie running backs.


We've put out quite a few good ones over the years: Ken Oxendine, Dwayne Thomas, Shyrone Stith, Lee Suggs, Kevin Jones, Cedric Humes, Ryan Williams, David Wilson...

and yet none of them had prolonged, successful NFL careers. You can blame that on injuries but injuries are part of the game. Look at Frank Gore and Willis MaGahee. They both had major knee injuries and still had lengthy NFL careers. In fact, it's hard to find an NFL running back that DIDN'T have to deal with at least one major injury.

I don't get it. Did it have something to do with the way they were coached or the training regimen or our offensive scheme?
