for a private organization. Things are done all the time to send a message and establish a culture in businesses and teams. Who defines what is "fair or unfair" when its the first time JF has had to deal with the situation.
If you are a new CEO of a company where there is all sorts of unproductive or inappropriate behaviors then you absolutely are going to send a message to the rest of the employees the first time you handle it...whether you intend to or not.
Lets say JF did nothing hypothetically. You think the next player who might want to score some weed wouldn't take some comfort in that?
Anyway I personally hope these two get a one game suspension max but leaders absolutely have to be aware of the message. They are not courtroom judges
