This is spot on, except I think that Mizzou is a drag as well. TAMU and UNL (as well as PSU, if you want to go back that far) were the schools with passion that were taken. I don't see Mizzou as a true college sports state. Better than NJ or Maryland? Absolutely, but not at the level of most of the SEC or even states like Ohio or Michigan.

As far as what's left to be had (I think the Big12 is a dead conference walking), Oklahoma is the prize now. They have tradition and a rabid fan base that rivals any. Obviously, if you think Texas is available, then they fall into that category as well.

I completely agree with the passion for college football on the SEC states. The pro teams just don't have the following that the college teams do, if they have a team at all.
