We all have our preferences, experiences and biases. Yours seem to be rooted in tradition (which is the best in sports). I know Bo Schembechler didn't want to play ND, but did. I like it because it's two of the original football blue bloods, before many of the kings now became great. Just a couple of hours away, so they are geographically relevant. Oh yeah, I hate ND as much as you hate Michigan. Any time Michigan can play a team I hate, than it's a win for me. I would much rather play ND than many of the Big10 teams, even the some of the original ones.

As far as Rock's House goes, it's a mess, almost as bad as it's Michigan counterpart, The Victors (but without the lousy political posts of The Victors). How many times has that board been flushed after a loss? Just like the Victors, it's a collection of the superfans, those that are blinded by their own deep biases. It has great inside info, but often becomes an echo chamber, just like The Victors.
