Pastner was at least able to keep some success going at Memphis (even if it was nowhere near where Cal had them) and he did for a quite a while. Christian did a good job at one MAC school. But TCU didn't really improve under his watch and Ohio was faltering. He was easily the most boring hire in the ACC in the last half decade at least.

I was going to swap Brey and Buzz as well, but Brey has a longer track record so I can see why you gave him the nod.

That said, even had we gotten Brey in 99, he would not have stayed. We were an A-10 job then. And we were a basement level Big East job later. He still would have bolted for ND most likely had they still come calling. Or at least he would have taken some other better job had he even had remote success in the Big East with us.
