Agree. It is a non starter


Any team which would leave another power conference would be crazy to move to the big 12. They are expanding to get as much money as possible and to prepare should they lose Oklahoma or Texas. It also makes more money in the short term.

I believe there contract gets bumped with each new member up to 14. The new members don't get a full slice which means the existing members get more money in the short term. From what I see on Twitter, the new members do nothing for fox or ESPN. They will be in for a surprise when the tv contract comes up for renewal.

If I was ESPN I would try and extend the long horn network so I have the hook in the jaw to guide them to one of the conferences they have locked up.
