I'm probably wrong, but, I sense there is more going on in Texas than

just UTex giving their blessing to allow Houston to join the B12. I'm wondering if the rest of the B12 presidents feel that Texas and probably 3 more teams are on the way out..
I do not think for a second that the ACCN was the sole reason why the B12 decided to look harder at 2 or 4 team expansion.
Heck there are not that many teams in the Group of 5 that add anything to any conference. If the B12 does not make their picks now, there may not be anything worth adding in the next year or two.
My guess is by 2025, ACC, B1G and SEC are at least to 16 teams for football, maybe more and the Group of 5 has become the Group of 6.
Just my opinion, of course.
