First time you taste it neat, it may well knock your socks off. I was told that single malts were distilled to meet the taste preferences of the distiller. They may not in fact be yours. I was told to feel free to add a squirt of water to bring the drink to a point where it is refreshing to your palate. I usually mix one medium ice cube to each shot. Let it sit for a few minutes and then enjoy.
