You are helping me make my argument, do you realize?

Frankly, this is the problem. He plays with such tunnel vision that he virtually ignores everything else that is going on. He gets fixated on whatever he thinks he needs to do that he constantly loses track of the RB or QB. A good linebacker needs to be aware of his surroundings as well as adjust for any blocking schemes.

Yes, he is often the focus of blocking schemes, but because opposing teams have clearly identified him as the weak link on the run defense. Much of the blocking issues are self-inflicted as he typically runs up to the OL at the beginning of each play and gets tangled up with a blocker long before it is even evident where the RB will come through the line.
