And BTW, why do ACC apologists feel Maryland's money problems reflect well
on the league? The single most important stream of revenue comes from schools' respective leagues. It's where all the TV and bowl money comes from. Throwing it out there that Maryland was broke in no way, shape, or form reflects well on the ACC? That's especially true now that Maryland athletics are sending money back to the school after only a few years in the B1G.
And another primary revenue generator is football matchups that sell tickets. Wouldn't it have been nice for Maryland is Virginia Tech played there more than once a generation? VT football games make a ton of dough for schools like Duke and carolina every other season. Heck, I've been to a number of VT games in Atlanta and Virginia Tech is one of the toughest tickets at GT every other season. Anyhow, Maryland's now raking it in with sell outs when they play Michigan, OSU, and PSU regularly.
The ACC failed to afford them regular matchups with schools that could actually sell tickets in their venue.
