a Championship game while I wait. No one is clamoring to add the AAC teams so you have no competition for them if that is the direction you are forced to go. UT and OU are not leaving before the GOR and unless they sign a new one with 2-4 G5 teams added I am not going to saddle myself with lower tier schools once the GOR is up.

Why wait? Well, lots can happen in the next 5-6 years including a breakaway from the NCAA of the P5. This could drastically change the landscape and the role of individual conferences. Also, the PAC12 is not a stable as some think. I don't see any of their teams leaving but they could be in the market for a merger of sorts and having weaker teams makes that harder.

I see no clear advantage to adding teams right now that won't be available in the future. But, there is one caveat. IF ND is stepping closer to the ACC and flirting about full time membership then I am grabbing the best of the AAC and making sure those teams don't wind up in the ACC.
