My list of 9 protected games is certainly amendable.

It could be smaller or slightly larger. But I think I got the heart of it as a good starting point, a "working list" if you will.

I agree with you about GT and UNC. I enjoy playing GT and UNC every year, but it isn't a must. Ditto for Miami.

I'd consider a must-play game to be one that others outside of the two schools' communities have an heightened interest in seeing. For example, sitting here as a Hokie on the East Coast. I'd be more interested in seeing UW-Wazzu than I would be UW-Oregon State. And I think outsiders would be interested in seeing VT-UVa much more than VT-GT.
