Firm what I've read, the current schedule is not an issue for the schools

The fans - and just a portion of the fans - are more bothered by it than the schools. Schools prefer status quo / facing several teams annually than doing anything outside the box. I think even Beamer said he preferred having several annual rivals.

The issue now is simply the quantity of ACC/P5 games for ACCN content. I'd be very surprised if these divisions ever change under the 14 team model.
