Why not? ND kept its NBC deal.


It's pretty simple really. Texas owns its home game content. Their new league would own the away game stuff. Texas would then negotiate with the new league for a partial payout from the conference network until the LHN runs its course.

Why on earth would that be any different if Texas joined the ACC? Texas is going to get its guaranteed $15-$20 million no matter what it does, even if it joins the ACC. Wherever they land, there will be some LHN related negotiations required. But as I suggested earlier, it's nothing a couple of law students couldn't get in a room and hammer out. They give and take until the two parties come to an agreement. Bingo Bango.
Again, that will be reuired no matter what Texas does moving forward.
