Same reason ESPN went along with ND's NBC deal.


Texas road games have value too. Fox would be happy to show them and Fox would pay. Yes, they would rather have the home games, but road games add value.

That's why ESPN is paying ND. ESPN would rather have ND's home football games. That's ND's most valuable content. But it is not currently available. So ESPN took the next best thing.

Fox would gladly take additional Texas content, even though it's not premo.
