Through same point in their careers, advanced stats point to Curry...

The link below shows some quick graphs looking at advanced stats such as Player Efficiency Rating (PER), Win Shares, Box Score Plus/Minus (BPM) and Value Over Replacement Player (VORP).

In the graphs, Iverson is the blue line and Curry is the red line. They both started their NBA careers at the age of 21 so the numbers at the bottom are their ages during their first seven seasons.

Each metric tells a pretty similar story...Iverson had the slight edge their first three years, Curry had a slight edge the next two years and then Curry has opened up a huge edge the last two years. I didn't include post-season stats but generally speaking Curry would have an overall edge but not quite near as much as with regular season performance.

The real question will be what Curry is able to do going forward. Iverson was able to have two of his better years at age 29 & 30 and had strong performance through age 32. Curry just finished a two-year run that has been pretty remarkable and his performance from this past year was statistically arguably one of the top 10 seasons of all time. Whether he can perform at or anywhere near that level through his early 30's will tell the story of his career.
