Syracuse (and even Notre Dame) already gives the ACC a presence


in NYC. As far as the northeast markets go, they are very pro markets which is no different than the DC/Baltimore market. Adding UConn would be the same as adding BC - another school that the ACC said would "deliver" the market when in reality it doesn't move the needle all that much. If the ACC is only concern about the ACCN and not really concern about ratings, then BC and Syracuse should be enough to ensure that the ACCN is broadcasted in all the NY/NE markets.

Now by no means am I advocating the ACC should add Kansas because Kansas has just as many negatives. However, if a conference is going to consider adding "low hanging fruit," then it needs to ask very critical questions before making a decision especially if it doesn't have the luxury to miss.
