I know. That's why it is easy to do the NFL deal with Navy.


ND shouldn't have expected a state school that is funded in Connecticut mostly to agree to playing all of those series games out of state. ND tried to offer that, and UConn pretty much had to turn it down. ND shouldn't really view that as a bad relationship. Perhaps in the beginning the UConn AD thought he could make it happen, but it's obvious why there would be public outrage on his side cratering the deal.

Navy is a whole different story. They are federal and don't have to play in Maryland. Syracuse has freedom too as a private school. That's why they can so easily play home games with ND in New Jersey. A state school can do it too here or there, but not for a ten game series.
